An Amazing Person & Astounding Rotarian
From Mumbai to Pennsylvania, Bangalore to Turkey, Kris Chittur has traveled the world for one reason – to help every person that crosses his path. A dynamic Rotarian with initiative and drive, he has initiated and organized countless community service and international understanding projects. He founded the Elderact Club of Briarcliff Manor NY, assisting seniors to be contributing members of the Rotary, even if their health doesn’t allow them to be present. Then he started the Preventative Health & Consumer Awareness Series, a monthly presentation on health related issues, which is open to the public with free admission.
Kris is a member of the Rotary Club of Briarcliff Manor & Past President of Rotary International Dist. 7230. He is a loyal husband, loving father, and modest and driven philanthropist. Kris would never boast about being a Harvard graduate. Nor would he proclaim that he is an excellent lawyer that’s practiced for 38 years in Mumbai. And he definitely wouldn’t tell you that he recently has been diagnosed with CKD and is suffering from End Stage Renal Disease.
John Campbell once said, “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” Kris has dedicated his life to helping others, and now this hero needs help.
