Dear Westchester Club Presidents,

I am reaching out to you with the support and encouragement of our District Governor Garrett Capobianco, because the 20+ Rotary Clubs of Westchester have a wonderful opportunity to come together to support one of the most vital service organizations in our county, FEEDING WESTCHESTER. We can do this by joining forces and resources to fund a RESTAURANTEUR LEVEL SPONSORSHIP for their upcoming event, An Evening in Good Taste, taking place on April 16th, 2026.

As a past president of the Pleasantville Rotary Club, I know that our local clubs are always looking for ways to engage with each other in service. I am also well aware how difficult it can be to "get the word out" about all the good that Rotary does for the community. A sponsorship from The Rotary Clubs of Westchester will address these issues and more. First, it will bring all our Westchester clubs together to financially support a local group that is vitally impacting over 350,000 of OUR neighbors every month.

These are some of the numbers --

From 7/24-6/25 Feeding Westchester provided 17.5 million meals a year, 21.1 million pounds of food, 8.2 million pounds of fresh produce, 5.1 million pounds of good, nutritious recovered food.

Secondly, as event sponsors Rotary will have a strong platform via marketing and social media promotions for the event, as well as allowing Rotary a physical presence at the event to promote the good that we are doing. Each participating club will have a complimentary early entry ticket to the event, so that we may come together on April 16th to celebrate and promote Rotary. Thirdly, at this well attended event, we can recruit fresh talent to our respective clubs via a dedicated Rotary marketing table. Finally, it allows us to show the impact that Rotary can have because of how we work together in service. Individually, none of our clubs could afford the $25,000 donation required for the Restauranteur Sponsorship. However, if we can get full participation from all our Westchester clubs, we would only need to have an average participation of $1,000, per club, not insignificant, but certainly attainable. Especially, if clubs, such as Scarsdale and Pleasantville have already done, not only fully commit to participating but offer to help with any shortfall.
