The humanitarian need in Turkey and Syria is immense and growing – it's the most devastating earthquake to hit the region in 100 years. Thousands of buildings have been destroyed in both countries leaving people homeless, with nowhere to sleep, in the middle of a bitter winter.

RI President Jennifer Jones activated our disaster response efforts, communicating with affected districts. All donations made, until 31 March, to the Turkey/Syria Disaster Response Fund will be used to aid earthquake relief projects, through local Rotary Clubs in the affected areas
District Governor Marty Schulman asked Clubs and individual Rotarians to mobilize to assist those in need.  All donations via the link below were channeled directly to the Rotary Foundation's Turkey/Syria Disaster Response Fund. A total of $14,700 was raised via this appeal.  In addition, every Rotarian donor will get Foundation recognition points for their donation.  No amount is too small. The money goes directly to the Fund and is available for use right away.  Donors will receive acknowledgment directly from the Rotary Foundation.
